Robert C. Underhill

Robert C. Underhill born May 2, 1941 to parents Elsie and Rodman Underhill, Sr in Starke, FL. Robert joined the U.S. Army in 1959 and served until 1963. He married his wife of 57 years, Sylvia, in 1963. Robert also began his career with the Florida Department of Corrections that same year. Robert retired from the DOC in 2000 as a Captain with 37 years of dedicated service. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert was also an avid farmer who enjoyed sharing his produce with fellow members of his Sunday school class- the joint heirs at Trinity Baptist Church in Keystone Heights, FL.Robert was preceded in death by his parents Elsie & Rodman Underhill Sr. & his brother Rodman Underhill Jr. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years Sylvia Underhill & their two sons Robbie (Bridget) Underhill & Jimmy (Cyndi) Underhill; six grandchildren Kylope Underhill, Kamryn (Kelly) Underhill, Jacob (Ariel) Underhill, Jarrett Underhill, Kyle Davis, & Kaitlyn Baker; and four great-grandchildren Jace Underhill, River Underhill, Kaci Grace Baker, and Karsyn Underhill. The family will receive friends at the graveside in Dyal Cemetery, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock.
