Rodney Allen White

Mr. Rodney Allen White 71 of Keystone Heights passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka following an extended illness. He was born November 8, 1949, in Norwich, Connecticut to Francis Raymond and Rita J. (Robilard) White, Sr. Mr. White had served 10 years in the United States Army and has been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1987. Rodney volunteered with the Keystone Heights fire department and was a first responder for several years before becoming the owner and operator of Whites Transport. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Starke and was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed the ocean and loved turning up his radio and traveling on the open road. He had a loved children and a passion for animals and was known for his kind heart and spirit. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Trinity Rose and a brother Francis R. White, Jr. His survivors are his loving and dedicated wife of 29 years Angela (Powers) White of Keystone Heights; son Rodney Allen White, Jr. of Washington State; two step children Rodney C. Harrelson, Jr. of St. Augustine and Lisa N. Harrelson-Person of Deltona along with three brothers Clement R. White of CT, David White of Melbourne and Richard White of Tampa. Also left behind is his mother in-law Lucille Powers of Keystone Heights and was lovingly called "Big Papa" by Skyler, Shane, April, Bryanna, Sierra, Chloe, Alex, Madison, Memphis and Jace. Funeral services for Mr. White will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Morgan officiating. .
