Ronald W. Roberts

Mr. Ronald W. Roberts age 72, of Starke passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at Park of The Palms in Keystone Heights. He was born October 23, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Barney and Inez (Brinkley) Roberts and had served in the United States Army with the 1st Calvary Division during the Vietnam War. Mr. Roberts began his career in Law Enforcement working with the Cherokee County Sheriffs Department and Bradford County Sheriffs Office for several years followed by his retirement as a Correctional Officer from Lawtey C.I.. He enjoyed fishing, walking and was a Mason. Mr. Roberts leaves behind his cousin Chip and Joy Martin of Jacksonville, Kenny and Fay Etheridge, Sr. of Starke, Kenny and Becky Etheridge, Jr., Martha Weatherall and Loris Palm all of Keystone Heights who were more than just friends, they were his family. Graveside services for Mrs. Roberts will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Pastor Lester Austin officiating.
