Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Tomlinson, age 66 of Starke, passed away on March 13, 2015. Mr. Tomlinson was born in Starke on March 19, 1948 to the late Roy Tomlinson and Annie Sweat Tomlinson. Mr. Tomlinson worked as a Regional Sales manager for Southern Railroad, Union County Correctional Officer, and also owned Surface Transport Systems. Ronnie was a player on the Bradford County Football team that won the State Championship in 1965, he was also a member of the First Christian Church in Starke, and served in the Vietnam War for the United States Army. He was married to his wife Stephanie Tomlinson for 19 years and, he loved his 5 grandchildren with all his heart.Preceded in death by his parents Roy and Annie Tomlinson; daughter, Jaclyn Tomlinson; and two brothers, Leroy Tomlinson and Walter Tomlinson. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Tomlinson; sons, Chris (Suzanne) Tomlinson and Billy McKay; daughter, Crystal (Greg) Moss; brother, Winfred (Geraldine) Tomlinson; sisters Margaret Williams and Martell Jackson; grandchildren, Brooke, Jonathan, Jacob, Ryan, and Maya.Funeral services will take place at the First Christian Church on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 4PM with a visitation starting at 3PM; officiated by Pastor Jim Chandler. A burial will take place at the Jacksonville National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 10:30AM with Army Military Honors.In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Diabetes Association or the First Christian Church Building Fund.
