Rosa "Lou" Wainwright

Ms. Rosa "Lou" Hagy Wainwright age 83 of Starke passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Plantation Oaks Nursing Home in High Springs. Rosa was born on January 17, 1934 in Big Rock, Virginia to the late Daniel Hagy and Garnet Elizabeth Nichols and was a longtime area resident. Ms. Wainwright was a Baptist and attended the Community Church in Keystone Heights. Prior to retirement she worked as a Walmart Associate for over 25 years, serving most of that time in the fabric department. Rosa enjoyed gardening, photography, scrap booking and letter writing. She was also a former square dancer, loved cats, raising her children and was a joyous grandmother.Survivors are: her daughter, Kathy Agan (Butch) of Starke, son, Jeffrey D. Wainwright of Fort White, brother, Lawrence Hagy of Cedar Bluff, VA, niece, Phyllis Brown Hicks of Green Cove Springs, grandchildren, Shannon Warren (Tony), Lyndsey Wainwright, Jacob Wainwright and Jared Wainwright. The family will receive friends at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 oclock.
