Mrs. Roselyn Marie Teske, 87, of Starke died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 in Gainesville. Mrs. Teske was born in Piper City, Illinois on March 22, 1923 to the late William Jennings and Clara (Hecht) Brown. On June 17, 1950 Roselyn married Wilfred George Teske, and on December 3, 1957 they moved to Starke, FL from Cissna Park, IL. Roselyn graduated from Illinois State University and was employed as a school teacher for 27 _ years. She taught at the elementary level and was also a Title 1 teacher in a reading lab in Melrose and Interlachen for the majority of that time. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Keystone Heights. She led a very independent and active life and loved spending time with family and friends, her cats, gardening, reading and painting. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Wilfred George. She is survived by her children: Gerald A. Teske of Satsuma, FL, Patricia A. Golden of Auburn, AL and Wendy S. Norris of Newberry, FL. She is also survived by her sister: Marlene Scheck of Athens, OH, Brother: Carl Zulke of Freeport, IL, and six grandchildren: Natalie Rector of Ocoee, FL, Tarah Norris of Boston, MA, Laura Berardi of Satsuma, FL, Jeremy Norris of Ft. Worth, TX, Andrew Golden of Auburn, AL, and Daniel Golden of Auburn, AL; one great-grandchild: Alexander Berardi of Satsuma, FL. Viewing for Mrs. Teske will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 22nd at the Keystone Heights funeral home 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 oclock on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Keystone Heights with the Pastor Jon Kuske officiating.
