Rothelle "R.B." Jones

Mr. Rothelle, "R.B." Jones, 79, of Theressa, passed away June 2, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. R. B. was born on November 20, 1936 in Trenton, Florida to Mark Truman and Norcey Alene Layfield Jones. R.B. proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and was retired from Enron/Florida Gas Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bluegrass and being with his family. R.B. was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Keystone Heights. He is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Brenda Forsythe Jones, daughter Linda "Susi" Stanley, her husband Mike, son Ronnie Jones, his wife Sarah, grandchildren, Amanda Potter (Eric), Jake Stanley, Caleb and Hannah Jones and great grandchildren Mackenzie, Emma, and Jieran Potter. He is also survived by a brother, Tracy Jones (Florence), a sister, Norma Jean Faile, a sister in law, Beverly Brannen, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his step father, Raleigh Brannen "Pa", step mother, Sue Williams Brannen and his half-brother, Ardel F. Brannen. Funeral services will be held at Freedom Baptist Church on Sunday, June 5, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
