Mr. Roy "Rocky" N. Hoffler, Jr. age 70 of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Sunday, October 23, 2022, due to a year long battle with esophageal cancer. He was born July 7, 1952, in Washington, N.C. to Roy N. and Hulda Pauline (Smith) Hoffler; he proudly served in the United States Air Force and Army National Guard. Rocky began his career with Clay Electric in 1985 as a mechanic in fleet service and retired after 30 years of employment. He was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his tractor, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters Paula Waldron and Wanda Thompson. Rocky leaves behind his devoted wife of 42 years Valerie (Jones) Hoffler of Keystone Heights and their children Tyler Hoffler (Heather) of Ocala and Whitney Drost (Brandon) of Keystone Heights; he was also lovingly called "Papa" by Samuel Hoffler. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery.
