Mr. Roy Lee Pendleton age 71 of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Pendleton was born on February 21, 1938 in Gastonia, North Carolina to Gary and Pansy Garver Pendleton and moved to Keystone Heights in 1972 from North Carolina. He was a retired Electrician form E.I. Dupont, was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Pendleton and brothers: Mickey Hayes, Gary Hayes, and Randy Hayes. Survivors are: step-daughter: Deborah Maddox of Bracey Virginia; step-son: William Clay Nolen, Jr. of Harrisburg, NC; sister: Doris Pendleton of Keystone Heights; brother: Dean Pendleton of Pahrump, NV; three grandsons; one great granddaughter. Funeral services for Mr. Pendleton will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Keystone Heights Cemetery.
