Ruby Hunt

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ruby Hunt, who departed this life on February 24, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on November 6, 1931, Ruby was a beacon of love and resilience, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ruby is lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Joyce Pool, Margaret McCallum, and Ann Willis. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—John and Joshua Pool, Tony Felipe, and Anna Westbrook—and her great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory in their hearts: Logan, Abigail, Jack, Lucas, Gavin, Grayson, Kate, Lottie, Briana, Timothy, Jacob, and Alison.

Ruby was also a beloved sister to Lois Thornton, Lewis Cannon, Velma Creamer, Lillie Clark, Tommy Cannon, Ann Cannon, and Thelma Gibson. The bonds of family were precious to her, and she nurtured those connections with unwavering love and support.

Ruby has been predeceased by her husbands Ray R. Hodges and Herald Hunt.

Her life was characterized by warmth, generosity, and a deep commitment to her family. Ruby's gentle spirit and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Funeral services celebrating Ruby's remarkable life will be held on Friday February 27, 2026, at Oakdale Baptist Church. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and farewell, as we honor a woman whose legacy will live on through the love she cultivated.
