Russell Thomas Pritters

Mr. Russell Thomas Pritters, Sr. age 79 of Keystone Heights passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center. He was born May 16, 1939, in Jacksonville to the late Emma Lou Allen. Mr. Pritters was a retired journeyman in the carpet installation business; in the past he had also owned and operated his own carpet business. He was of the Baptist faith and loved fishing, taking rides on his Harley along with riding his Kubota while working on the farm, but most of all he loved tinkering and staying busy. Mr. Pritters is survived by his wife of fourteen years Candis (Patterson) Pritters of Keystone Heights and five children Curtis Mahaffey (Teresa) of San Pablo, CA, Russell T. Pritters, Jr. (Annie) of San Antonio, TX, Justin Faraon (Sonya) of St. Augustine, Theresa Farley (Patrick) of Virginia Beach, VA and Cynthia Slater (Mike Morch) of Wichita, KS. He was lovingly called "Grandpa" by fifteen grandchildren Adrianna, Alysse, Amanda, Alexandria, Angel, Russell Pritters III, Brenda, Curtis Jr., Ryan, Rebecca, Clinton, Liam, Janae, Chelsea, Cameron and twelve great grandchildren David, Taylor, Brittney, Andres, Antonio, Alberto, Alenjandro, Brenda Lee, Vianna, Ana, Macie and Aliyah. Memorial services will be held in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.
