Ruth Bennett

Mrs. Ruth Vedder Bennett, age 96 of Keystone Heights passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Haven Hospice in Palatka. She was born October 31, 1922, in Schenectady, New York to Edison and Cora (Hallenbeck) Vedder. Prior to retirement Mrs. Bennett was a manager for a dry cleaning company before moving to Park of The Palms in 1986 from Miami. Mrs. Bennett was known for her beautiful musical talent of playing the piano and organ for church services. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Stuart Bennett. Mrs. Bennett leaves behind her daughter Bonnie Lynch of Michigan, a niece Lois Brinkman Griswald and a cousin Susan Edwards, and a host of friends she made over the years at Park of The Palms. A private burial has taken place at the Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Park of The Palms, 677 Hebron Ave., Keystone Heights, FL 32656.
