Ruth Kathlyn Lyons Mrs. Ruth Kathlyn Lyons, 91, passed away on Wednesday December 26, 2012 in Jacksonville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday January 2, 2013 in San Jose Catholic Church, 3619 Toledo Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32217. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday January 1, 2013 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S.Ruth was born in Colchester, New York on September 22, 1921 to George Ray Seaman and Bertha Kathlyn Pashby Seaman. She has been a resident of Jacksonville for 25 years and was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Ruth was also very active in Girl Scouts as her children were growing up. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles H. Lyons, Jr. and two sisters, Eleanor Ryan & Jacqueline Dauphine. She is survived by her daughters Janet Horne, Joanne Edwards (Thomas) & Betty Ann Pinner (Jody); son, Robert Lyons (Rhonda); 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters Betty Gabriel, Clare Gambino (James), Barbara Preble (Robert) & Nancy Pitts (Herbert); her dear friend, George May and many nieces, nephews & extended family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruths memory to Community Hospice of N/E Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.Arrangements under the direction of George H.
