STAFFORD: Funeral services for Ruth P. Stafford, 99, who passed away on January 11, 2018, will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1679 Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32218 with Bishop Carl Sheffield officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to service. Interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Stafford was born in Glennville, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held various positions. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, the late James H. Stafford Sr.; Granddaughter, Christina Joy Ashe; Her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her 2 daughters, Nancy S. Ashe (Kenneth) and Carol Jarvis (Mark) both of Orange Park, Florida; 1 son, James Henry Stafford Jr. (Trudy), of Nampa, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Serving as active Pall Bearers will be Gerald Cowart, Kenny Cashion, Mark Jarvis, Paul Stafford, Michael Alligood and Jordan Alligood. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Eric Stafford and Dalton Stafford.
