Sally Edith Hart, 64, of Hawthorne, Florida passed away on November 9, 2024. She was born on November 12, 1959 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Archie Hart, Jr and Nina Reynolds Hart.She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1978 where she earned a high school diploma. Sally is a U.S. Army veteran and was honorably discharged. She loved her Chinooks. Sally was a civil service employee for the U.S. Government with NADEP/FRCSE NAS Jacksonville, Florida and retired after 28 years of service.In retirement Sally enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of her labor with everyone. She also enjoyed fishing and was just getting into surf fishing. Sally loved the serenity of living in the country with her wife and their German Shepherds, the peace and with nature. She was also a diehard Gator fan!She is survived by her wife Sharon Kusy of 7 years (but have been together for 14 years); niece, Vanessa Schafer (Jason) of Melbourne, Florida; great-nephews, Joshua Schafer (Megan) of Melbourne, Florida and Justin Schafer of Melbourne, Florida; great-great-nephews, Dylan and Nathan Schafer; and great-great-nieces, Mallory and Skylar Schafer.Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Nina Hart; brother, Archie William Hart III; and sister, Irene Karen PalmerIn lieu of flowers, donate may be made in Sallys honor to your local animal shelter.A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Forest Meadows East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, Florida.
