Sandra M. Schwab 70, of Keystone Heights, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at Shands Cancer Center following a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Staten Island, New York on April 17, 1943, and had moved to Keystone Heights 32 years ago. Prior to retirement several years ago, Sandra was employed with the VA Medical Center in Gainesville. Sandra is survived by her husband of 50 years, George B. Schwab and their four legged babies Honeybee and Brandi of Keystone Heights. She is the Loving Mom of two daughters, Denise C. Christian and Virginia M. Reames, of Keystone Heights; two sons, George W. Schwab of Keystone Heights and Scott A. Schwab of Bessemer, AL. She is also Grandma to six granddaughters, Beth V. Donovan, Sallina R. Reames, Casey L. Reames, Deanna N. Davids, Angie M. Christian, and Cristina M. Christian; and one grandson, Grant W. Schwab, and the loving sister of Cathy Fraser of all of Keystone Heights, and James Skip Stroud of Staten Island, NY. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home, Friday, December 6, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. There will be no services following.
