Listen to Obituary

With faith in God’s promises and gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Sang Van Huynh on July 14, 2026, at the age of 76 in Alachua, Florida. Sang was born on May 21, 1950, in My Tho Vietnam.

Sang was a devoted husband, loving father, treasured grandfather, faithful friend, and a man whose life reflected kindness, humility, and steadfast faith. Sang dedicated 30+ years of his life as a computer programmer, where his sharp mind, patience, and passion for solving complex problems earned him the respect of his colleagues and lifelong friends. His career allowed him to travel to different parts of the world, including Australia and Asia. Yet, of all his accomplishments, nothing brought him greater joy than his family and his walk with God.

Sang shared 49 blessed years of marriage with his beloved wife, Hieu, just 5 months short of their 50th anniversary. He was a proud father to his only son, Jeff, whom he shared his love of sports. As a grandfather, he found endless joy in sharing stories and celebrating milestones with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Ong”.

Sang is survived by his wife, Hieu; his son, Jeff; his daughter-in-law, Helen; his grandchildren, Lana Esther and Elijah Van; along with extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his quiet strength, friendly spirit, and generous heart. Sang was preceded in death by his parents: Vinh Huynh and Trung Nguyen.

A private family entombment service will be held on July 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date for family and friends who wish to attend in person.

Though our hearts are heavy with the loss, we find comfort in God’s promise that those who believe in Christ will have eternal life. We rejoice knowing that Sang will one day hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and now rests in perfect peace until the Lord’s return. We are grateful for the countless memories he leaves behind and the legacy of love, integrity, and devotion that will continue through generations.

A Heartfelt Farewell

Your life was a beautiful testimony of God’s faithfulness. You loved your family unconditionally and walked each day with quiet trust in the Lord. Though we will miss your comforting presence, your example of faith will continue to guide us, and your love will remain forever in our hearts.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. -Psalm 23:6

You will be missed, remembered, and forever cherished. Until we meet again.
