Sarah Ward Carver Sarah Ward Carver, 83, Jacksonville, died on Monday, November 21. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Webber officiating. A native of Suffolk, Virginia, she was born June 4, 1928, daughter of the late Timothy E. Ward, Sr. and Beulah Carter Ward. Mrs. Carver had resided in Jacksonville since 1960 and was a retired secretary with the Duval County School System and active member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bascom Y. Carver, Jr. and is survived by a daughter, Laura Mauldin (Austin), Charlotte, NC; two sons, Ward Carver (Sylvia), Clarksville, TN and Mark Carver, St. Augustine, FL; a brother, Gordon Ward (Dot), Bossier City, LA and six grandchildren, Sarah, Whitney, Nathan, Warren, Vance and Morgan.
