Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. George B. McEachern, 89, retired of Jacksonville, FL passed away on May 22, 2014. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10AM in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Father Michael J. Larkin officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. George is survived by his daughter Madeline (Danny) Worsham of Zolfo Springs, FL. Two grandchildren Candace E. (John) Bozeman of Zolfo Springs, FL and Christopher G. (Lorie) Worsham of Camilla, GA. Five Great Grandchildren; Dylan Hill Bozeman and Addison Rae Bozeman of Zolfo Springs, FL., William Ray Worsham, Christopher Lee Worsham and Preston Kade Worsham of Camilla, GA. George had an active career serving our country. He fought in WWII, the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam. He was a Sgt. Major at Montford Point, NC.
