Sharon Alene Adkison

Mrs. Sharon Alene Adkison 77 of Melrose passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Shands Hospital following a brief illness. She was born September 3, 1943, in Tampa to the late Elisha and Alene (White) Johnson. Mrs. Adkison has been a member of our community for over 20 years and was a talented artist. She was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church and loved reading and painting. Her survivors are her husband of 58 wonderful years Tommy Adkison of Melrose and their son Tim Adkison of St. Augustine Beach. Also left behind is her sister Marcia Brooks and her husband Johnny of Melrose. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 23, 2021, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Deryl Adkison officiating. Interment will be Monday, January 25, 2021, 11:00 am. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca, GA.
