Sheila S. Miller

Mrs. Sheila Jean Smith Miller age 61, of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Haven Hospice in Palatka following an extended illness. She was born August 5, 1957 in Indiana to Lester and Vashti (East) Smith. Mrs. Miller had been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1970 and was known to many children as the "Milk Lady" in the elementary school cafeteria where she worked prior to retiring. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed being outdoors, reading, watching her favorite TV shows but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her in-laws Jack Foster and Louise (Dyal) Miller, Sr. and a sister Letha Smith. Survivors are her husband of 42 years, Jack F. Miller, Jr. and their two children Shelly Alvers (Ben) and Jack "Jf" Miller (Siobhan) all of Keystone Heights; two sisters Tina King of Keystone Heights, Noretta Murdock (Doug) of Gainesville and a "Chosen brother" Noel Sullivan of Gainesville. Also left behind are six grandchildren Riley Jack, Caleb Gage, Keaton Grant, Peyton Marie, Weston Foster and Connor Jackson who loving called her "Grandma". There are also numerous additional family members and friends that will miss Sheila dearly. The family will receive friends Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Denmark officiating. Interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery.
