Shirley Mae Hoage

Mrs. Shirley Mae Hoage age 82, of Baldwin passed away, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. She was born in Mohawk, New York on August 16, 1935 to the late Raymond and Genieve (Race) Johnson. Mrs. Hoage was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lawtey; she enjoyed her Sunday school class and reading mystery novels. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Wes Hoage and Theodore Raux along with her daughter, Michelle Meatty. Her survivors are her children, Barbara Guy, Raymond Raux, and Ruth Mazarin all of Massachusetts, Katheryn Moss of New York, Jackie Petley of Ohio, Brenda Hoage of Baldwin, Ted Raux and Thomas Raux both of New York; one sister, Betty Johnson also of New York. Also left behind are over 100 grandchildren and over 100 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hoage was well loved and will be missed by her children. A memorial service for Mrs. Hoage was held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Lawtey with Pastor Tim Mulkey officiating.
