Shirley Scott, 91, of Trenton, FL, passed away on Friday, July 5th, 2024.Shirley was born in Kingstown, St. Vincent on January 18, 1933 the daughter of Hemly & Lillian Hargreaves.She spent many years in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad in the West Indies until she moved to Miami, Florida with her husband and children in 1978. Shirley and her family moved to Trenton, Florida in 1980.Shirley spent the last 44 years in Trenton, Florida. She had a full life from: secretarial roles, owning her own candy company and catering business in Trinidad called Shirleys Jub Jubs, to mother of 5 children, to being an owner of Rainbow Alleys Bowling Center in Chiefland, Fl.She loved her family more than anything else on this earth. Shirleys love for our Lord, Jesus Christ, was abundantly clear to everyone she came in contact with. She was a known prayer warrior not just for her own family, but also anyone she knew who was in need. When speaking with Shirley, she often ended with, "God bless you, I love you!"She is survived by 4 of her 5 children: Dawn Marsh (Robert) of Old Town, Florida, Charles Scott of Chiefland, FL, David Scott (Kelly) of Nolensville, TN, Judi Seyez (Joe) of Charlotte, NC. She was also blessed with several Grandchildren: Ryan Hausner, Glynn Marsh, Nadia Scott, Alex Scott, Blake Scott, Desiree Scott, Crystal Scott, Tony Scott, Sampson Scott, Josie Alleman, Nikki Huntley, Joey Seyez, as well as her Great Grandchildren: Clark Hausner, Malachi Denmark, Mariah Denmark, Bryce Marsh, Maci Scott, Lincoln Scott and Jacob Scott.Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Scott, and son, Dean Scott.A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Faith in the Word Assembly Church, 26445 SE Hwy 19, Old Town, FL 32680.
