Shirley A. Walker

Walker, Shirley A.Shirley Ann Rushing Walker, 83, passed away on January 7, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.Shirley was born in Rock Island, Illinois to Joseph Ward Rushing & Opal Mae (Henson) Rushing. She was a long-time resident of Muscatine, Iowa and attended Muscatine High School. There, Shirley met and later married the love of her life, Richard Paul Walker. Shirley received her nursing degree in Jacksonville, FL and began her career as a Registered Nurse. She also worked for several years as a nursing instructor. Later she established her own coffee import/export company and traveled extensively. In her spare time Shirley enjoyed reading & watching Florida wildlife. Throughout her life, Mrs. Walker leaves a rich legacy of love and service to others.Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Paul Walker of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Debra Ann Umbdenstock (husband, Joe) of Jacksonville, FL; a sister Betty Rannow of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
