Simon "Pete" Crews, entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2014. Passing at home surrounded by loved ones after a short illness. Pete was born in Homerville, GA on Nov. 14, 1932. He came to reside in Jacksonville, FL in 1939. Pete served in the U.S. Army and became a Union Sheet Metal Worker, where he gave 50 years of dedication to Local 435. Pete is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Cox Crews. Four sons, Simon P. Crews, Terry Crews, Michael S. Crews and Peter "Randy" Crews. Two daughters-in-law, Sharon and Anne Crews. Nine lovely grandchildren and many loved great-grands and numerous nieces and nephews. Pete and Ann shared four wonderful grandchildren, Simon, Sissy, Randi Marie, and Bubba. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Gertrude Crews. Two brothers, Austin and Oliver Crews. Sister, Frances Siemann. A longtime friend and Pastor Bill Crews will officiate the service Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the in the chapel of George H.
