It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Soang Liu, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who departed this life on August 19, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. Born on March 4, 1949, Mr. Liu was a dedicated husband to KimMai Nguyen, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. He was a proud father to his children, Angelique Mai (Daniel) and Anthony Liu, and cherished grandfather to his grandchildren Emma Mai, Amelia Mai, Quinn Mai, and Mollie Liu.

Mr. Liu was a man of remarkable spirit, known for his unwavering dedication to family and his commitment to personal growth. He proudly served in the military, a chapter of his life that filled him with honor, particularly in his role as a pilot. His passion for aviation, electronics, and technology was matched only by his talent for fixing anything mechanical. He was an avid learner who took pleasure in sharing his knowledge and expertise with others.

Known for his love of peonies, Mr. Liu found beauty in both nature and the connections he fostered with those around him. He held strong spiritual beliefs rooted in the Buddhist faith, which guided him throughout his life. His legacy will be one of love for his family, a passion for flying, and the cherished memories he created with those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in his memory at the visitation, which will take place on August 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Forest Meadows Funeral Home. Following this, a crematory service will be held at the Jones Gallagher Funeral Home & Crematory at 1:30 PM.

In his own words, Mr. Liu would convey his heartfelt gratitude to those attending the service: "Thank you for all the great memories and for giving me the experience of life, the ability to be a father, and the blessing to be loved by those in attendance."

Mr. Liu will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will live on through the love he so generously shared. May he rest in peace.
