Sonja Lohmann Anderson

Mrs. Sonja Lohmann Anderson age 86, of Keystone Heights passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Melbourne. Mrs. Anderson was born on August 18, 1929 in Hamburg, Germany to the late Hermann and Johanna (Engel) Lohmann. She grew up in Germany and meet her late husband, John Anderson there in 1949 while he was serving in the United States Army Air Corp. In 1952 an Act of Congress brought her to the United States and the two were married. Sonja was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Starke and enjoyed playing bridge. She is survived by her son: John H Anderson of Ft. Lauderdale, daughter-in-law: Rorie Anderson of Palm Bay, brothers: Heinz Lohmann of Roan Mountain, TN, and Otto Lohmann of Tampa. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Josh A. Anderson of Ft. Lauderdale and Sascha Bartlett (Jason) of Palm Bay and great grandchildren: Ava Bartlett and Jameson Bartlett. The family will receive friends at the FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF STARKE on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. till 12:00 noon with funeral services beginning at 12 oclock.
