Mrs. Sonya L. Bynum, 53 of Florahome passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Bynum was born in Jacksonville on March 29, 1958 and was a homemaker. She was also a Christian Lady who loved to donate her time and care to needy children and animals, and was very crafty at making jewelry and Christmas ornaments. Sonya had a big heart and woke up every day to the love of her life and did everything to make sure her beloved husband was happy the way he made her feel without him even trying. She always put everyone else first making sure their needs were taken care of before hers. Sonyas two precious granddaughters were her world; she loved them with all of her heart and would do anything for them and her family. Tom will miss dearly the warm loving touch of his moms hands. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Tom, one son; Tom Jones and his wife Sonya of Keystone Heights, parents; Ernie and Joyce Dukes of Florahome, two granddaughters, Alissa and Micaylah and one brother; Butch Dukes and his wife Kathy of Myrtle Beach. Sonya also leaves behind a very dear and close friend of many years; Lisa Jackson of Florahome. hide
