Staci Chaulk

Staci Maree (Scott) Chaulk, 55, peacefully passed away on September 26, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on January 9, 1971, in Warren, Ohio, where she lived until moving to Port Orange, Florida, and eventually making her home in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Staci was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who brought laughter, love, and a one-of-a-kind personality to the lives of everyone around her. She is survived by her husband, Chris Chaulk; her son, Christopher Chaulk (Jamie Morris); her daughter, Haley Chaulk (Ryan Rivers); her mother, Beverly Scott, who held her hand and stayed by her side until the very end; her sisters, Jessica Mahoney (Joe Mahoney) and Kari Evans (John Evans); and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Scott.

Staci found so much joy and purpose in her work at Lake Asbury Elementary, where she worked as a Behavioral Health Assistant. She loved every part of her job, especially the relationships she built with her coworkers and the many children whose lives she touched. The impact she made on those around her will continue long beyond her years.

Anyone who knew Staci knew her for her personality, her sense of humor, and the way she could make people laugh. She never met a stranger and would have a conversation with just about anyone. She had a personality that was impossible to forget, and her famous "Get serious!" was a phrase many will always hear in her voice. And, of course, there was her hair, something that was unmistakably Staci.

Staci loved the beach, music, and making memories with the people she loved. She especially loved the holidays and took joy in decorating, with a particular love for snowmen. Her home was filled with the little things that made the holidays special to her. She also cherished music and making memories, including going to many concerts with her friends and family. It was moments like these, full of laughter, music, traditions, and time together that meant the most.

Staci battled cancer with all of her strength and gave it the very best fight she could, right up to the very end. She never stopped fighting. Although some battles cannot be won, Staci's strength, courage, and determination throughout her journey will never be forgotten.

While her loss leaves an unimaginable emptiness for her family, friends, coworkers, and all of the children whose lives she touched, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain forever. Staci will be deeply missed and forever loved by the many people whose lives she touched.

A memorial service celebrating Staci's life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Lake Asbury Elementary. Additional details will be shared with family and friends.
