Stephen Michael Deluca

Stephen Michael DeLuca, 32, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015. He was born in Decatur, Ga., and moved to Jacksonville when he was 3 months old. He resided at his parents' home on the Trout River. Stephen attended St. Patrick's Catholic School, Bishop Kenny High School and First Coast High School. He recently completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies from Keiser University. Stephen owned his own landscape business, Green Pro Services. An avid Jacksonville Jaguars and Florida Gators fan, he also enjoyed playing soccer, surfing, and his greatest passion, of course, fishing something that he loved to share his great knowledge of with children. Spending time with his family at home was also very important to him. Stephen was predeceased by his grandparents: Sidney and Marguerite Broward and Antoinette DeLuca; and his uncle and aunt: Sid and Jean Broward. He is survived by his parents: Michael and Karen DeLuca; his brothers: Christopher and Richard DeLuca; his sister, Angela DeLuca; his aunts: Ann DeLuca, Phyllis Katz (Marty), Sarah Loud (Joe); loving cousins and many friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32206. Stephen was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 601 Airport Center Drive E, Jacksonville, FL 32218, where a funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 with Father Jose Kulathinal as celebrant.
