Obituary

Stephen F. Prince was escorted with friends and family by his side on June 1, 2025, to be forever with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Stephen passed away peacefully at home after a long illness at age 72. He was born on Oct 4, 1952, in Petersburg, Va to Mary Lou Parker Rogers and Ralph Rogers.

Stephen cherished his family and friends and had a heart for service to his Lord and country. He evangelized for many years and was passionate about leading people to accept the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior. Stephen worked in the Grace Prison Outreach Ministry prior to becoming founder and Pastor of Glory Days Tabernacle in San Mateo, Fl.

Stephen proudly served in the US Marine Corp for four years and earned the rank of sergeant. Marine Corp Sgt Prince, Stephen F. will be laid to rest with military honors.

Stephen was a very talented musician who loved playing and collecting guitars. He also enjoyed collecting firearms and target shooting in his backyard.

Stephen leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 28 years Dena (Lourcey) Prince; and his children: Stephen L. Prince (Gayle) of Kapolei, Hi; Phoebe Prince of Jacksonville, Fl; Justus Prince of Deland, Fl; and his stepdaughter Victoria Smith of Keystone Heights, Fl. Also left behind are his sisters: Heather Rogers Mackel (George) of Ga; Katherine "Binky" Naidenoff of Naples, Fl; Stephanie Elaine Herndon of Ga; and Kim Herndon Legg of Ga; and his 3 grandchildren: Dominique, Luke and Noah who lovingly called him grandad.

Funeral services will be held at the Lannie Road Baptist Church located at 5998 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fl on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be officiated by Evangelist Toby Stephens, Pastor Dale Kitchens, Evangelist Ronald Story, and Reverend Ray Chandler.

Interment will immediately follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
