Steven Alfred Beck, 79, lived in High Springs, Florida. He passed away peacefully on July 2, while watching his favorite YouTube Channel sitting in his favorite chair surrounded by his loving dogs.He was born in Miami, Fl to Murray and Armida Beck. His two brothers Richie and Jules pre-deceased him. He attended Miami-Dade Community College, Florida State University, and Florida International University where he graduated with a degree in Criminology. He started his law enforcement career in 1967 and continued on to the City of Miami, Pembroke Park, and West Palm Beach Sheriffs Department. He took early retirement when he was 50. He has lived in Miami, Tallahassee, Cooper City, Lake Worth, Fort White and High Springs.Big Steve was an avid motorcyclist with over 30 years on the road riding most every place in Florida, the Eastern United States along with several memorable trips to Sturgis, South Dakota. He even rented a Harley in Hawaii. He enjoyed music and played the guitar. He was quite adept at building computers and figuring how things worked. His latest passion was barbecuing.He is survived by his wife of 57 years Celeste Beck, sons Steven R. Beck, (Kelly), Edward Beck, and Tiffany Angela Beck (predeceased). Family was so important to him. He has one grandson Jeffrey Beck, two granddaughters Samantha and Sophia and even one great-granddaughter Charlotte. His fur babies are going to miss him: Dillon the big white Labrador, Maggie and Raven the somewhat noisy miniature Schnauzers and three cats Mr. Bojangles, Rosalita Mamasita and Mr. Grey. His first miniature Schnauzer predeceased him.If you wish to honor Steve, do so in the manner that speaks to you. He was a man of great principal. He loved this country and made a difference in many peoples lives. The immediate family will have a private celebration of life. Please celebrate his life by doing a good deed in his memory.
