Mr. Stephen Lane ThorntonMr. Stephen Lane Thornton age 39 of Starke passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 suddenly. Mr. Thornton was born on September 4, 1969 in Starke to Willard Pete and Clara Bryant Thornton and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Thornton worked as a mechanic, and was currently employed with Starke Tire & Auto. He was preceded in death by his brother Adrian Thornton. Survivors are his children: Dillon Thornton and Amber Thornton both of Starke; Aaron Thornton who resided with his father; his father and step-mother: Willard Pete and Susan Thornton of Starke; mother: Clara Jean Thornton of Titusville, PA; sisters: Stacie Thornton of Starke; Samantha Gray of Titusville, PA; grandmother Carrie Mae Rosier of Keystone Heights. Memorial services for Mr. Thornton will be on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 6:00 PM in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL, 514 E. Nona Street, Starke. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pete Thornton, 9295 SE 151st Loop, Starke, FL 32091 for funeral expenses.
