Sue Marie Beasley, age 80, of Keystone Heights, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in Starke. Born on January 22, 1946, in Santa Barbara, California, she graced those around her with warmth, compassion, and unwavering devotion throughout her life.

Sue's journey began amidst the sunlit coast of California, born to Ruth Lorna Kidd Hammond and Hal Hall Hammond, who both predeceased her. She carried forward the lessons of love, grace, and resilience that were instilled in her from childhood.

Professionally, Sue dedicated much of her working life as a bookkeeper for a community mental health facility. Through her diligence and sense of responsibility, she provided vital support behind the scenes, contributing to a field that aims to uplift those navigating some of life's most challenging moments. Her commitment to precision and her steadfast integrity were hallmarks of her career.

Sue's heart found further fulfillment in her family, whom she cherished above all. She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years James Otis Beasley, who remained her steadfast companion. Her legacy continues through her daughters, Deborah Dawn Merrihew Flester and Carol Ann Page, and her son-in-law Kenneth Alan Flester. She adored her grandchildren - Todd Nicholas Tucker, Troy Alan Flester, Paul Eugene Baldwin, Brittany Lynn Wood, Courtney Nichole Garner, and Lloyd Page - each of whom brought joy into her life. Sue was also blessed to see several generations thrive, welcoming great-grandchildren Devin Michael Wood, Caden Allen Tucker, Adilynn Mae Garner, River William Garner, Thomas Alan Flester, Ana Rae-Lucia Flester, and Elliott Nguyen Tucker into her loving family.

Beyond her career and family, Sue was an esteemed member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her fellowship there reflected her values of service, friendship, and community - qualities that defined her both publicly and in the quiet moments shared with loved ones.

Sue's life was marked by her steadfast dedication to her family, her integrity in her professional endeavors, and her commitment to service. The memories she leaves behind are enduring, woven through the lives of those who knew and loved her.
