Sue Carolyn Bowden, 91, was born on April 21, 1932, in Plant City, Florida. She was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, Florida and passed away on August 14, 2023, in Orange Park, Florida. She was a wonderful cook, providing meals for many out of her tiny, but efficient kitchen. She took pleasure in creating a warm home for her family, enjoying the simplest of tasks (like hanging laundry on the line). She loved sewing and tending her garden, where she excelled with her green thumb in reviving the most pitiful of plants. Her warmth, her hugs and her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Robert L. Bowden, her daughter Carol Ann White, her brother Lamar McMath, and sister Bettye Ruth McDonald.
