Sue Ann Reid, 94, of Clermont, FL passed away on October 6, 2023. She was born on September 17, 1929 in Jacksonville, Florida to Walter and Lillian Weinberg. She is survived by her daughter; Cindy Reid Bates (George), of Leesburg, FL, Kevin (Becky) Maher, Daniel Island, SC, Karl Weinberg (Cindy), Port Orange, FL, Michelle Corse (Roger) of Jacksonville, Kelly Maher, Mexico and grandson, Taylor Bates of Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby G Reid and her son Gordon Reid, her brother Walter Weinberg (Uncle Bobo) and her sister Shirley Maher. All of the Weinbergs graduated from Landon High School. Sue Ann graduated from FSU back in the days when it was a "girls" school and went on to be a homemaker for many years. She raised a great family and loved to play bridge, read, crossword puzzles, study up on birds, and jigsaw puzzles. She also loved any 4-legged animal. She may not have been much of a cook but she sure cooked up one mean standing rib roast for holidays! She tutored math at North Florida and was a substitute teacher for Duval County. There will be a joint celebration of life for not only Sue Ann but her brother Walter who passed away in March. Please join us Sunday, November 12, from noon to 4 at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, FL. She will be greatly missed by her family.
