Sylvia "Pat" Bass Fox of Gainesville, FL passed away November 12, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 70.Mrs. Fox was born in Lumberton, NC on May 5, 1942 to James Howard Bass and Mary Dew Bass. She moved to Gainesville in 1980 from Topeka, KS. Mrs. Fox was a registered nurse and until her retirement in 1991 was the head nurse at the VA nursing home, which she helped to open.Mrs. Fox is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles F. "Chuck" Fox of Gainesville, daughter, Emily Fox (George Harnden), brothers, James H. Bass, Jr. (Joann) and Michael G. Bass (Phyllis), sisters, Kimberly Bass Parsons (Edwin) and Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Mathieu (Raymond).Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville with Rev.
