Sylvia Inman Newton

Mrs. Sylvia Inman Newton age 93, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Riverwood Health and Rehab in Starke. Sylvia was born on January 10, 1928 in Duval County to the late Leonard Herchel and Lucy Mae (Thompson) Inman and moved to Starke in 1994 from Virginia. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church in Lawtey. Sylvia enjoyed quilting, sewing, embroidery, taking care of her husband, and especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crafton Lee Newton, her four brothers, and two sisters. Survivors are, her children, Lynn Sullivan (Rick), Jeannie Wells (John) all of Starke, Joyce Delmonte (Paul) of Titusville, Judy Currin (Richie) of South Boston, and Ronnie Newton (Sandy) of Anthony, Sisters, Lola Mae Jay of Jacksonville and Barbara Bergen of Houston, TX. She was lovingly called grandma by sixteen grandchildren, along with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 2, 2021.
