Mrs. Sylvia Matos Pacheco age 91 of Green Cove Springs passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at St. Vincents Hospital in Middleburg. She was born May 27, 1933, in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Felipe and Cecilia (Carrera) Matos. Mrs. Pacheco was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed cooking, attending festivals, and loved life, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Alfredo and their son Alfredo, Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Nelson Pacheco, Carmen Pacheco, Armando Pacheco, Raul Pacheco, and Israel Pacheco. She was lovingly called "Grandma" by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Pacheco will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Penney Farms Cemetery.
