Teka Lashelle Fuller was born on September 7th, 1969 to her loving parents Dora Mae and Ervin Fuller. She grew up in her beloved hometown of Jackson, Tennessee.She graduated from Jackson Merry High School and received her certification in secretarial studies afterward. At 21, after having her first child Kanesha, Teka bravely left her hometown to move to Jacksonville, Florida for more job opportunities. There she started a 25-year career with Duval County School System. Along the way, she made so many friends and irrevocably shaped the lives of both her peers and students. She dedicated much of her talents to spreading joy and being both organized and exceptionally informed in her job as secretary of Wolfson High School.Teka had a steadfast faith in God that inspired those around her. Anyone she came into contact with knew her to be funny, kind, courteous, and intelligent. She loved old TV shows, the ocean, sunny days, and good food. Teka is survived by her loving children Kanesha Cherelle Boyette (married) and Cameron Shakori Fuller as well as her loving long-time partner, Eddie Day. A funeral service for Teka will be held in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11AM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
