Teresa Owen, born in Frackville, Pennsylvania on February 7, 1923, died September 4, 2013, in Gainesville, Florida, of natural causes. Teresa, the daughter of Anne Stutlick and Michael Wosoclo, was preceded in death by husband Dr. Joseph Allen Owen and sisters Mary Wosoclo, Helen Fleisher, Lottie Mullin, and brother John Wosoclo. She is survived by sister Sophie Wertman, daughters Michele Owen Pepe of Marietta, Georgia and Patricia Owen Myers of High Springs, Florida; grandchildren Alexandria and Joseph Pepe, Elisa, Bennet and Samuel Myers.As a dental hygienist for the United States government, she traveled the world with stops in Guam, the Philipines, and Korea. Teresa moved to the Panama Canal Zone where she met and married Dr. Joseph Allen Owen and raised her two daughters.After retirement she settled in Clearwater, Florida and then moved to Gainesville, Florida. She was a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church, enjoyed swimming, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Teresa will always be remembered for her quick wit, engaging smile and infamous "love pats".A funeral mass will be held at Holy Faith Catholic Church 747 NW 43rd Street, Gainesville, Florida on Monday September 9, 2013 at 9:30 am.
