Teresa Jean Elliott SoardOctober 28, 1956 - December 16, 2021Teresa Soard began her eternal life on December 16 after a valiant battle with cancer. Teresa was born in Lexington, KY and grew up in Tennessee, Illinois and Florida. She graduated from Lakeland (FL) High School and from Midway (KY) College. It was in her college years that she met the love of her life, JR, whom she lovingly calls "Mr. Wonderful". She moved with her family to Florida 25 years ago to be closer to her parents. Teresas work was in business administration and word processing. She worked in medical and education fields, having spent the last 20+ years with Gleim Publications of Gainesville, Fl. Teresa enjoyed traveling as she marveled at Gods beautiful creation. Her favorite trips were with "Mr. Wonderful". They would often leave home with no clear destination and enjoy traveling country roads to experience new things and enjoy being together.Teresa is known for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. Her presence would light up any room. She refused to let the cancer get her down, working into November and attending her grandsons ball games and homecoming festivies. Teresa had a loving personality and made everyone feel like a friend.Teresa loved children and had a great relationship with any children who entered her life. She taught Sunday School and was a Children Worship & Wonder Storyteller. She could make babies laugh and children engage.Teresas greatest love and legacy is her love for her family, which always came first in her life. Without a doubt, the light of Teresas life are her amazing grandchildren Madison and Ty. She loved watching them excel in sports, their education, and whatever activities they choose. While Teresas physical presence will be deeply missed, her light and love will continue to give all who loved her strength and peace. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME340 E.
