Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Thomas Yow Jung (68) of Jacksonville, FL. Thomas was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 9, 1953 to Kwong Jung and Jue Kim Bow Jung. He was a selfless and devoted son who worked at his parents business. His work ethic led him to join the Navy Reserve after attending Jacksonville University. After one Navy Reserve tour, he returned to Jacksonville to support his family. Thomas was a kind and loving husband to his wife Peggy and a dedicated father to their daughter Toni. He always put family first, emphasizing the importance of tireless love and devotion to family. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Peggy Jung of Jacksonville, FL, a daughter Toni Jung of Alexandria, VA, two sisters: Mary Fong of Concord, CA and Anna Wong of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by three brothers: Yow Jung of Los Angeles, CA, George Jung of Atlanta, GA and James Jung of Jacksonville, FL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the funeral home, between the hours of 6-8PM. A funeral service for Thomas will be held in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, Jacksonville, FL 32216 on Friday June 17, 2022 at 11AM with Pastor Terry N. Collins officiating.
