Thomas Hereford King, Jr. Thomas Hereford King Jr. passed away Tuesday, February 19th, 2013. He was born March 10, 1929 to Lola Maree and Thomas H. King Sr. He was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife of over 60 years Peggy, his brother Ernest (Butch) King, his daughter Cynthia Maree, and daughter-in-law Mary. Survivors include his brother Drew King(Brenda), sister Pat Brady(Pete), son Thomas H King III, daughter Laura Anderson(Mike), grandchildren Jennifer Chaddock, Melissa Pritchard(Travis), Julie Anderson, Kelly Anderson, and Thomas H King IV. He also had 4 great-grandchildren. He was a loving and supportive Uncle Tom to many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Tom was a proudly retired Jacksonville Firefighter and State of Florida Fire Marshall. He was a member of The Morocco Shrine, serving for many years in the Provost Guard. The true love of his life was his family, especially his wife Peggy. To him his family meant everything. Anyone who met him loved him. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 23, 2013 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
