Mr. Tony E. "T.J." Hamner, Jr. 34 of Keystone Heights passed away in Gainesville Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He was born in Jacksonville on April 30, 1987, to Tony E. and Carolyn (Roberts) Hamner, Sr. and graduated from Keystone Heights High School. Prior to becoming an HVAC/R Service Technician, T.J. had been employed with the Department of Corrections for several years. He loved fishing, motorcycles, and working out. In addition to his mom he was also preceded in death by his step brother Corey Johns. T.J. leaves behind his father and stepmother Tony and Ginger Hamner of Earleton; sister Kelley Kerlin (Randy) of Taylorsville, Georgia and their children Hailey and Brady; step-sister Christine Johns of Jacksonville; his "Meemaw" Carolyn Hamner of Macclenny. Also left behind are extended family members and a host of friends that will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life for T.J. will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2021, in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel in Starke with Pastor Steve Conner officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
