Toyo Smyder, 87, a resident of Alachua, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Sendai-Shi, Japan to Tozeumon and Hana (Anraku) Azuma.
She is survived by her sons Timothy and Gerald Smyder, daughters Karen Smyder and Vivi Fitzgerald, sister Fumie Azuma, brothers Akinori, Tomeo, Talji, and Shigeo Azuma, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be held at St. Madeleine Catholic Church, High Springs, at a later date.
