Funeral Mass for Trudie Hartnett, 99, widow of Stephen Eugene Hartnett, will be held at 10:00a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22nd at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Michael J. Larkin as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Born April 26, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Elizabeth and August Renk, Mrs. Hartnett died Thursday December 15, 2022 in Jacksonville. Mrs. Hartnett served in the United States Navy during World War II, was a retired legal secretary and a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. She had a servants heart, always reaching out to family, friends and even strangers. She was a faithful member of Al Anon for 45 years. She was a caring member of the Catholic Church her whole life, where she shared ministry within the community and beyond. She loved unconditionally and touched the hearts of many. Survivors include 5 daughters, Christina Y. (Mark) Harding of Kennesaw, Georgia, Denise H. Broughton of Memphis, Tennessee, Stephanie L. Hartnett, Linda M. (Charlie) Crissman, and Theresa L. (Alex) Pocock all of Jacksonville; a son, Richard S. Hartnett of Davie, Florida; a brother, Edward Renk of Castro Valley, California; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
