Twila May Kerschner

Twila May Kerschner- Went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 27,2019. She was in Gainesville, FL when she surrendered to her battle of an extended illness.Mrs. Kerschner was born on August 8, 1941 in Johnstown, PA; where she grew up on a farm. She moved to Sarasota, FL in the fall of 1960. It was in Sarasota where she was introduced to Jr., who the rest of the world knows as Russell. They were united in matrimony on January 12, 1961 and enjoyed fifty-eight years of blissful marriage.In 1978, Twila moved with her family to Starke, FL. She became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Starke faithfully serving our Lord. She was employed by Wal-Mart for twenty-three years delighting in her time there working in the garden center and as a door greeter.Mrs. Kerschner was preceded in death by her parents Edward E. Fry and Erma Johnson of Johnstown, PA; two brothers Charles and Gary Fry both of Johnstown, PA; two children Roger Kerschner and Judith Kerschner; a daughter-in-law Tina Kerschner of Graham, FL and a great grandson Raymond Michael Ardell Kerschner.Twila is survived by and will always be cherished by her husband Russell Kerschner, Three sons Raymond Kerschner of Starke, FL; Wayne Kerschner (Shanda) of Starke, FL and Terry Kerschner of Lake Butler; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. A visitation will precede the services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Santa Fe Cemetery in Hampton.Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200.
