Mr. Vaughn Prescott age 85, of Kingsley Lake passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his residence. Vaughn was born on March 28, 1937 in Baker County to the late Lonnie and Myrtie (Griffis) Prescott and was lifelong area resident. He was a member of the Bradford High class of 1956 and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Starke. Prior to retirement he was the co-owner of Lawtey Tire and Lube Service. He was a "Jack of all Trades" enjoyed mowing grass, being outside, and just staying busy piddling. Survivors are, his wife of 66 years, Rachel (Norman) Prescott of Kingsley Lake, children, Mike Prescott (Debi), Donna Sheppard (Sammy) all of Kingsley Lake. He was lovingly called "Papa" by his grandchildren, Alicia Bennett (Ed), Brittany Morris (Bryan), Alan Prescott (Stacey), Haley Sheppard and he was called "Papa Vaughn" by his great grandchildren, Aiden, Jordan and Briar. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 2 oclock with Pastor Lester Austin and Pastor Matthew Page officiating.
