CLAYTON: Funeral services for Vera Crews Clayton, 78, who passed away on June 27, 2022, will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in Franklin Street Baptist Church with Dr. Terry R. Gore officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Clayton was born in Lawtey, Florida and resided in Hilliard, Florida. She was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She has 50 years perfect attendance for Sunday School and was Sunday School director for many years. She was a lifelong Florida Gator fan. She was a clerk having worked for the Public School System. On July 5, 2022 would have been her 55th wedding anniversary. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas B. Clayton Sr.; 1 son, Thomas B. Clayton Jr., (Beth); 2 grandchildren, Madison Williams (Dylan) and Garret Clayton (Taylor Kelley); Arrangements under the direction of George H.
